My Story…
Migraine has shaped my life for as long as I can remember. I was born to a mother who lived with chronic migraine, and many of my childhood memories are of her in bed, unable to be with our family. As a teenager, I learned how to give her injections because she couldn’t keep medication down.
In my early 20s, I developed chronic migraine myself and found my life shrinking in the same way—days spent in a dark room, missing out. Then it happened again—this time to my daughter Sydney. At just 16, she spent a year in bed and had to leave high school, missing milestones no teenager should lose.
Finding Miles for Migraine changed everything. In 2013, we brought the race from San Francisco to Philadelphia, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with countless people whose stories mirror our own.
This disease has tested me—but it’s also given me purpose.
On September 27, I will walk to raise awareness, support others, and help build a future where no one has to face this alone. If you’re able, please consider donating to my walk team. Every dollar helps us provide education, support, and hope to families like mine.
