Make-A-Wish® Canada creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Over the past 43 years, they have granted over 40,000 wishes including 1,835 wishes in 2025 alone.
Wishes Are Medicine. They are a powerful part of a child’s treatment journey – bringing strength and resilience to children with critical illness. Research shows that wishes can improve adherence to treatment, reduce emergency room visits, and deliver lasting health benefits. Wishes play a critical role in a child’s medical journey and when prescribed alongside medical care, they improve health outcomes.
Make-A-Wish Canada serve children in every community in Canada, including right here in the Greater Toronto Area. We currently have 325 children eagerly waiting for their most heartfelt wish to come true in the Greater Toronto Area.
