In 2022, through the love of my life, Ramona Ricken, a paired-exchange living donor kidney transplant gave me back my health, my energy, and the ability to fully participate in life again. Everyday moments I used to miss are now gifts I cherish - and that’s why I’m stepping up to pay it forward.

On September 20th, I’m running the Constantine Yorkville Run 5K with Team Transplant to support the Centre for Living Organ Donation at the Ajmera Transplant Centre (Toronto General Hospital).

This cause is deeply personal to me:

The Mission: Living donor transplants can essentially double the number of life-saving kidney and liver transplants completed every year. The Centre works tirelessly to make living donation more accessible to everyone in need.

In Memory of Frank: I’m running with deep gratitude for my own second chance, but also in honour of my childhood friend Frank, who tragically passed away while waiting for his kidney transplant.

World-Class Care: The Ajmera Transplant Centre is Canada’s largest multi-organ transplant program, supporting over 7,000 recipients across Canada, embedded within Toronto General - ranked the #1 publicly funded hospital in the world for eight consecutive years.
