My Story…
Less than 1 year ago, in September 2025, I was blessed to be able to donate a portion of my liver to a 12-year girl at the Toronto General Hospital. Every day I feel thankful to have been in a position to give this gift and to save someone's life. My experience with the UHN Transplant team as a living donor was exceptional and showed me how fortunate we are to have such a team as part of our health care system in Ontario. This is my first year participating in the Yorkville Run and being on Team Transplant. I'm excited to be part of a team of people who have been touched by organ donation and who continue the work of raising awareness and funds so that others may also benefit from the life-saving work being done at UHN's Amjera Transplant Centre.
