Four years ago, I gave my husband Pete a second chance at life when I donated my kidney in a paired exchange—a decision that directly showed me the life-saving, transformative power of organ transplantation. The paired kidney exchange allowed two individuals, Pete and one anonymous recipient, to receive a life-saving kidney donation. 

We are beyond lucky to have UHN's Ajmera Transplant Centre right here in Toronto. As one of the world's leading transplant centers, their top-notch care and unmatched expertise gave Pete his health back, but so many others are still waiting on that life-changing call.

This year, Pete and I are stepping out for our fourth Constantine Yorkville Run 5K to raise vital funds for UHN's Ajmera Transplant Centre. We walk to celebrate Pete’s health, to honour the incredible medical team that made it possible, and to support the many individuals still on the waitlist. Every dollar raised directly impacts lives just like ours—thank you so much for supporting a cause that means the world to us!
