My Story…
On September 20, I’ll be running 5K in support of the UHN Foundation and the Centre for Living Organ Donation, alongside someone who has shown me firsthand just how much living organ donation can change a life.
In 2022, a close friend of my sister-in-law was in kidney failure and needed a transplant, but no match had been found. My sister-in-law decided to get tested and discovered that she was a match. She donated one of her kidneys to her friend and saved her life. Seeing the difference that decision made for her friend and everyone who cares about her made living organ donation very real to me.
This year, I’m incredibly proud to be running this 5K alongside her. I’m asking friends, family, and co-workers to support our run and the incredible work of the Centre for Living Organ Donation. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps.
