I'm excited to run the Constantine Yorkville Run again this year in support of Baby Love. As Executive Director of Baby Love, and this year as a mom on maternity leave with my third baby, the issue of diaper need feels especially close to home. I know firsthand just how many diapers a baby goes through, and how essential they are to a child’s health, comfort and dignity. For too many families in our city, affording enough diapers means making impossible trade-offs with essentials like food, rent and transportation. And the impact goes even further: without enough diapers, children may not be able to attend childcare, which can mean parents missing work or school. At Baby Love, we work to remove that barrier by getting diapers and other essentials to under-resourced families across Toronto through our network of community partners. I’m incredibly grateful for every donation that helps us reach more families.
