Help Kate raise money

Earlier this year, I had the great pleasure of meeting Hotel Etico – an organisation that empowers young people with intellectual disabilities to find meaningful work and independence. It’s an amazing organisation with incredible people who are doing something extraordinary.

Through my work, I’ve learnt about their activities, achievements, and challenges. “Not possible” simply isn’t in their vocabulary. Among their many initiatives to become financially sustainable, their CEO has taken on an great challenge: running 400 km to raise $400,000. And apparently, he finds this “not difficult”!

So… that got me thinking. I want to challenge myself too – and do some good while I’m at it. In my age, I know what I should be doing for my health, but it’s easier said than done. I work better with a challenge in mind, so my goal is to get fitter, drink less, join others to run some of the legs, and raise funds for Hotel Etico.

I’ve set myself a target: to raise $1,000 among friends to support Hotel Etico’s purpose. To keep myself accountable, I’ve designed a training schedule and I’d love your support. You can:
