My Story…
Earlier this year, during the Sydney OMBA Summit, our students had the pleasure of meeting Hotel Etico - Australia’s first social enterprise hotel, empowering young people with intellectual disabilities to gain meaningful employment, independence, and confidence.
Andrea Comastri, CEO of Hotel Etico, and his team shared their inspiring journey of building and sustaining a successful social enterprise in the disability inclusion space. Their story left a lasting impression on many of us — a reminder that creating change takes heart, hard work, and a supportive community.
Hotel Etico’s model relies in part on philanthropy and community fundraising to continue offering training and employment opportunities for young Australians with disability. That’s where we, the MBS Community, can help.
To thank and support this incredible organisation, we’ve joined the Long Run to Inclusion 2026 — a 400km run across NSW and the ACT aiming to raise $400,000 to promote inclusion and independence for young people with disability.
Our Goal
We’ve set a target of $3,000 to contribute towards this incredible cause. Every dollar raised will help Hotel Etico expand its programs, train more young people, and strengthen a model that changes lives through meaningful work.
