My Story…
I have been thinking recently about how opportunities such as camps for children are not simply "frills".... they are an essential part of development and exactly what young people need to excel today in an increasingly complex world. I went to numerous camp programs as a child (including at YMCA Camp Pine Crest), and looking back now, I can see how much those experiences contributed to who I am today.
YMCA camp programs are where children get away from phones and screens, enjoy being part of a community with other kids, and develop a love of nature. They make friends, solidify important skills (problem solving, teamwork) and develop values (inclusivity, kindness, optimism) that will be with them for life. And yes, they get an important dose of magic, too!
At our Y, many children in our camp programs wouldn't be there if it weren't for donors like you. Your donation can help change that, for a child and a family. Help me raise $375+ with my walk - together we'll send one kid to a full week of camp next summer! Thanks for your support.

I’m participating in this year’s YMCA Charity 5K because I believe every kid deserves the magic of camp, making friends, exploring the outdoors, and creating lifelong memories.
Together, we are raising $500,000 to send over 1,300 kids to experience YMCA camp, where they can build confidence, lifelong friendships, and memories they’ll cherish for years to come.
