My Story…
Hi, my name is Avery! When I was younger, I visited my grandma during the summer, and she sent my siblings and me to a YMCA summer camp. I loved every single minute of it! That camp taught me how to work hard, set goals, and approach new experiences with a positive mindset.
Lately, I’ve been going to the YMCA gym to work on my running. Some days it is hard to feel motivated, but knowing I am supporting this charity run helps push me forward. I was very lucky growing up, and I believe every child deserves the opportunity to go to camp. Your donation will help kids have fun, learn interesting skills, make new friends, and explore the world around them!
Description
I’m participating in this year’s YMCA Charity 5K because I believe every kid deserves the magic of camp, making friends, exploring the outdoors, and creating lifelong memories.
Together, we are raising $500,000 to send over 1,300 kids to experience YMCA camp, where they can build confidence, lifelong friendships, and memories they’ll cherish for years to come.
