All participants must be at the start line at least one hour prior to their race start.

Race Packet Pickup: Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza. Race Packet Pickup is mandatory for all participants! Valid Photo ID required for the following categories: Marianas Residents, U.S. Military, Youth/Minor. A participant may send a representative to pick up their race packet only with a written authorization and a copy of the participant’s photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Online registration will begin on October 30, 2025. All participants are encouraged to register online. Participants may register in person at the Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) Office located at 3366 Beach Road, Suite 101, Garapan, Saipan, MP 96950. For more information, email communityprojects@mymarianas.com. All participants are required to complete an official registration form in full. Last day to register all runs is Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Rules on Registration

Entry fee is nontransferable and nonrefundable. Participant wishing to transfer registration from one race category to another may do so by paying additional difference in cost within the applicable deadline; refunds will not be issued for transferring registration.
Change of race category or cancellation will not be allowed after February 20, 2026.
All participants who wish to have their name in the official Saipan Marathon booklet must complete registration and make payment by Friday, February 20, 2026.
All participants must submit completed entry forms with payment by March 4, 2026, in order to be officially registered.
Participants in the following categories must present valid photo ID at the race packet pickup indicating: Marianas Residents, U.S. Military, Youth/Minor. Erroneous category registration may be reclassified with payment of associated fees, if applicable.

Course Description

Name: Saipan Marathon 2026
Start: 2026-03-07T04:00:00+10:00
Location: Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan by IHG, Saipan, CNMI

All courses start and finish at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. Each course has a different turnaround point. Please ensure to turn at your designated turnaround point and pass in front of the turning point signboard where your bib number will be checked and tracked. You will find distance markers approximately every five (5) kilometers. As road traffic will not be fully closed for the event, traffic cones will be deployed along the route of the race. Please run inside the designated running lane to ensure your safety, as well as to provide runners coming from the opposite direction with a clear path. Do not run outside the designated running lane.

Finish Line

The START and FINISH lines are at the same location at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. Finisher’s T-shirt, (medals) and certificate of completion in digital and/or printed form will be presented at the finish line.

Full Marathon Course

All courses start and end on Coral Tree Ave. in front of Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. After crossing the start line, proceed to Paseo de Marianas, left on Beach Rd. to American Memorial Park intersection, right on Micro Beach Rd., left on Chalan Pale Arnold to the turnaround point in Marpi just pass the former Marianas Resort. Make the turnaround and return back south on Chalan Pale Arnold, right on Micro Beach Rd, left on Beach Rd. and south to the full-marathon turnaround point near Pacific Islands Club Saipan. After making the turnaround, return north on Beach Rd., turn left at Paseo de Marianas, proceed to the finish line at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.

Cut off time: 3 HOURS ON THE HALFWAY POINT OF THE FULL MARATHON

Half Marathon Course

All courses start and end at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. After crossing the start line, proceed to Paseo de Marianas, right at Beach Rd. and proceed south to your half-marathon turnaround point pass Pacific Islands Club Saipan, turnaround and return back on Beach Rd., left on Paseo de Marianas and back to Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.

10K Course

All courses start and end at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. After crossing the start line, proceed to Paseo de Marianas, right at Beach Rd. and proceed south to your 10K turnaround point near Joeten Motors, turn around and return back on Beach Rd., left on Paseo de Marianas and back to Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.

5K Course

All courses start and end at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. After crossing the start line, proceed to Paseo de Marianas, right at Beach Rd. and proceed south to your turnaround point passing the Hybrid Clothing Shop, turn around and return back on Beach Rd., left on Paseo de Marianas and back to Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.

Rules of Competition

This event is sanctioned under the Northern Marianas Athletics rules and regulations. All participants must make their respective turns at each turning point. Timing officials will be recording each bib number and each runner as they make their way to the designated turning point. Failure to turn at the respective turning point will result in a disqualification. Participants who are unable to finish their respective races must report their bib numbers and return their timing chips to Saipan Marathon officials. Baby strollers, carriages, pet animals and selfie sticks are not allowed on the course. Failure to comply with these rules will result in a disqualification.

PARTICIPANTS

Getting to the Start Area

Start area for all events – Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K – is located at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan in Garapan, Saipan. Participants may park their vehicles in free public parking along adjacent streets, or park at American Memorial Park in any location not indicated as prohibited by signage. Please be at the start line at least 1 hour prior to the respective start time for your event.

Race Packet Pick Up/ Race Bib Number

All participants must pick up their Race Packet on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race Packet Pick Up is MANDATORY for all participants. Valid photo id required for the following categories: Marianas Residents, U.S. Military, Youth/Minor. A participant may send a representative to pick up their race packet only with a written authorization and a copy of the participant’s photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Bib numbers are color coded and must be worn in front. Failure to do so will result in an automatic disqualification. A race official at all turning points for all events must be able to see your bib number as soon as you make the turn. A timing chip is attached to your bib number. If you cannot complete the race, please advise the race officials and return the timing chip. If you fail to return the timing chip, you may be charged a $20.00 replacement fee.

Aid Stations and Restrooms

There are fourteen (14) aid stations located approximately every two (2) to three (3) kilometers apart for the full marathon. Nine (9) for the half marathon. Water, sport drinks, fruits, sponges and other items will be provided along the course. Portable toilets will be available at the start and finish line and along with course (7) for the Full Marathon and (4) along the 5K, 10K and the Half Marathon. Further details to follow. Medical Guidelines and Drop Outs

Sunrise on March 7, 2026,will be at approximately 6:10 a.m. The temperature rises rapidly after 8:00 a.m. Precaution should be taken against heat and humidity. Safety first. Proper hydration and nutrition are very important. Drink fluids frequently and run at your own pace. The first sign of dehydration is stiffening fingers or joints. If you feel something unusual, stop at the nearest aid station, drink water and take a rest in the shade. If your condition does not improve or if you decide to drop out of the race, let the volunteers or race officials know at the nearest location. They will note your bib number and take your chip. Do not cross the finish line if your bib and timing chip have been confiscated.

Award Category Prizes for Top Finishers and Age Division

1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place male and 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place female finishers for all race categories will receive an award plaque, cash prize, and/or other prizes.

Award Category for Marianas Resident

One Marianas resident Male and Female participant in the full marathon will receive a special prize. Qualification: must have a minimum of 2 years residence in The Marianas. This will be based on the local runners if qualified.

Top Finishers of the Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10KM will not qualify in the Age Division Category. Age Division Winners are (ONLY) to be awarded to the Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K participants. There will be NO age division category for 5K. Age Division winners will only be awarded to 1^st place male and 1^st place female finishers and will receive a medal as seen in these Age Division Categories:

(14 & UNDER) (18 & UNDER) (OPEN) (35-39) (40-44) (45-49) (50-54) (55-59) (60 & UP)

After-Race Awards Festival – The awards festival will be held on March 7, 2025. Crown Plaza Resort (TBA)

Rules and Other Information

All participants must carry a headlamp or a mini flashlight especially for Full Marathon and Half Marathon due to low light condition or visibility.
All participants must be physically fit and healthy.
All information published is subject to change or expiration without notice. All participants bear sole responsibility for being informed of race rules and regulations.
The Marianas Visitors Authority shall have the absolute right to disqualify a participant from the event at any time for any breach of Saipan Marathon rules. The MVA shall have final authority in determining and interpreting all rules and regulations governing the Saipan Marathon.
The MVA has the right to permit the use of the participant’s name, picture, and interviews for use in any broadcast, telecast, advertisement, books, films, videotapes, and any other account of this event with no monetary compensation to the participant.
