My Story…
In 2013 and 2014 my life was touched by the beautiful Country of Burundi-and even more so by the incredible humans we met there. I was so fortunate to be a part of two mission trips (one in the summer of 2013 and one in the summer of 2014) where we worked at a school, providing teacher training, spending time with students and the wonderful staff, and helping in whatever small ways we could! After our visit, we were unable to return to Burundi due to political unrest, but I have always wanted to find a way to continue to give to this country and its people. I discovered this race online shortly after this, and for years have been hoping to participate. This year, my sister and I are making it happen! :) Thank you so much for your support!

By donating to the Gazelle Foundation's Run For The Water you become part of an incredible support team for families in Burundi who need clean water.
The Gazelle Foundation knows that clean water is the key to life. But no one knows this better than the people of Burundi. For more than 11 million people, access to clean water means access to better health, stronger community, jobs, education, and most of all: hope. Together, we can transform lives and make it possible for an entire country to break from the grips of poverty and flow freely once again. When we toe the start line on November 9th, the miles run will bring safe water closer to people in Burundi. Thank you!
