My Story…
Why I'm Walking This Year
I've run the Falmouth Road Race many times over the years as a local resident — it's a race I love. But since I started the LWVF Road Race team as our primary fundraiser, injuries have kept me from running it myself. I've still shown up every year to support our team, but this year, I wanted to do more.
So I'll be walking the At-Home version to support our team and help raise funds for the League of Women Voters of Falmouth.
I've been a member of LWVF for over seven years, and I've served on our board for several years. I am endlessly proud of the work our local League does — protecting voter rights and making sure every voter in our community has the accurate, nonpartisan information they need to make informed decisions at the polls.
The League has always fought for fair, informed elections. And I don't think there has ever been a more important moment for that work than right now.
Every mile I walk, and every step our teammates take, helps fund that fight. If you can, please consider making a donation — whether it's to support me directly, or any of my LWVF teammates out there running this year. Every gift, no matter the size, moves us closer to our goal and helps the League keep doing this essential work.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
