My Story…
I'm not quite sure what to write here this year. This will my fifth year running the Falmouth Road Race and fourth year raising money and awareness for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, but it is surreal to say that it will be the first year without my Mom Helen here with me. My Mom was a special person. She fought the complications of her ruptured brain aneurysm for TWENTY years. She was the definition of a miracle, as most people don't even survive the ambulance ride to the hospital when this happens. She fought so hard. In August, just a few days before last year's race, we saw imaging that showed her aneurysm had been growing in size and was considered malignant. Needless to say, race day was emotional. As the weeks went by, we didn't know what to expect, but we finally let her know that it was okay to stop fighting and take some time to rest. With those words she passed away on November 5, 2025. Today as I write this in early February 2026, it has been three months since her death and so far it has not gotten any easier. But I know that she would want me to continue turning my pain into something positive, just like she always did. So, here I am. A tiny little brain aneurysm changed my life in indescribable ways. It doesn't have to be this way for others, which is why I will raise funds and awareness for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation for as long as I can. Please consider sharing this or donating. In honor of my incredible mother Helen Steven (04/11/53 - 11/05/25)

I’m Running to Save Lives! 🏃♀️❤️
This year, I’m excited to be running in the Falmouth Road Race to support the Brain Aneurysm Foundation (BAF)! This cause is deeply important to me, and I’m dedicated to raising awareness, funding critical research, and helping those affected by brain aneurysms.
💙 Why This Matters:
🔹 1 in 50 people have an unruptured brain aneurysm
🔹 Every 18 minutes, an aneurysm ruptures—often with devastating effects
🔹 Awareness, research, and early detection can save lives
This year’s theme is “Be the Key to Saving Lives”, because together, we can unlock hope and change outcomes for survivors and families.
💙 How You Can Help:
🔑 Donate to my fundraiser—every dollar makes a difference
🔑 Share my page to spread awareness
🔑 Cheer me on as I run for this life-saving cause
I’m grateful for your support—thank you for being part of this journey!
