My Story…

Hi! My name is Zoe Kalaijakis, and this is my 5th time running the FRR and second year running for BIA-MA. I run this race for two of the most important people in my life: my cousin Niko and my dad, both survivors of traumatic brain injury.

Watching their journeys has been incredibly hard, emotional, and eye-opening. Their experiences with TBI have looked very different, but both have shown me how life can change in an instant—and how much strength, patience, and support recovery truly takes. Being so close to their stories has shaped who I am and has fueled my passion to advocate, educate, and stand up for others affected by brain injury.

Running for BIA-MA is my way of honoring them, giving back, and supporting individuals and families who are navigating life after TBI. Thank you for helping me make a difference!

Description

Thank you for coming to my page to make a donation toward my efforts to support the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA)!

BIA-MA strives to create a better future for all those affected by brain injury. The purpose of the organization is to educate the public on the risk and impact of brain injury, to promote programs that educate and prevent those injuries, to advocate for improved legislation, and to offer support and resources to individuals with brain injuries, their caregivers, and their families.

Together, we are the VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY!
