My Story…

Hi everyone! 

This August I  will be running my third Falmouth road race on the Tommy’s Place team. I am so excited to participate with this team for the third year in a row!  As some of you may know our friend Priscilla lost her battle to brain cancer in June 2023. As Priscilla was fighting her fight against brain cancer she was given a great opportunity to stay at Tommy’s place for a week with friends and family. Tommy’s place is an amazing organization that gives families who have children fighting against cancer a week vacation on the Cape. Tommy’s place is a nonprofit organization to help every child they can experience a week of fun, family time, no doctor’s appointments and a time to just be a kid. Tommy’s place reminds these kiddos how to be a kid again! I am running this race in memory of Priscilla. Her strength and a never give up attitude is what is going to get me through this race. No child should ever have to experience going through cancer. Raising money for Tommy’s Place is going to help children get a little break they deserve. I honestly can’t imagine running for a better cause! Anything you are able to give is appreciated!

Tommy's Place Provides Over 100 Free Vacations Per Year on Cape Cod!

Tommy's Place owns and operates two 10+ bedroom year-round magical vacation homes for kids fighting cancer.  The homes are located in Falmouth and Centerville on Cape Cod. One family at a time, along with their extended family and friends, visits for a one week, free of charge, dream vacation to relax, make memories and most importantly have FUN!

Tommy's Place homes are equipped with inground swimming pools, game rooms, movie theatres, home taverns, arts + crafts rooms, music rooms, chef's kitchens, and much, much more.  A magical experience for the entire family! 
 
Since opening in July of 2021, nearly 300 families have vacationed at one of the Tommy's Place homes. In 2024, Tommy's Place began offering 104 magical vacations per year at its two vacation homes. Tommy's Place receives guest referrals from 11 New England children's hospitals and all families are placed through a lottery system. Guests are aged 3-17, actively being treated for pediatric cancer, and living permanently and full-time in New England.
