My Story…

Hi everyone!

My name is Julianne Gazzola, and this August I will be running my second Falmouth Road Race with team Tommy's Place. I had so much fun running the race last year for such an awesome organization! I am running in honor of my friend Priscilla Bonica. She lost her battle with brain cancer in June of 2023. Tommy’s Place brought so much joy to Priscilla and the Bonica family. Priscilla spent a week on the Cape surrounded by friends and family. Tommy's Place is a nonprofit organization that offers free vacations to families with children actively undergoing cancer treatment. The family still talks about the laughs and memories they were able to have with Priscilla, thanks to the generosity of Tommy’s Place. Priscilla was a one-of-a-kind friend and teammate. It means so much to me to run for an organization that showed her and her family such kindness. Any amount you can give is appreciated!

Description

Tommy's Place Provides Over 100 Free Vacations Per Year on Cape Cod!

Tommy's Place owns and operates two 10+ bedroom year-round magical vacation homes for kids fighting cancer.  The homes are located in Falmouth and Centerville on Cape Cod. One family at a time, along with their extended family and friends, visits for a one week, free of charge, dream vacation to relax, make memories and most importantly have FUN!

Tommy's Place homes are equipped with inground swimming pools, game rooms, movie theatres, home taverns, arts + crafts rooms, music rooms, chef's kitchens, and much, much more.  A magical experience for the entire family! 
 
Since opening in July of 2021, nearly 300 families have vacationed at one of the Tommy's Place homes. In 2024, Tommy's Place began offering 104 magical vacations per year at its two vacation homes. Tommy's Place receives guest referrals from 11 New England children's hospitals and all families are placed through a lottery system. Guests are aged 3-17, actively being treated for pediatric cancer, and living permanently and full-time in New England.
