I'm raising money to help people and families with autism live life to the fullest!

I am thrilled and honored to be running the 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race to raise funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism as a member of Dougie’s Team. I consider this a great challenge but also a tremendous privilege.

My family has been running the Falmouth Road Race for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school, I finally had the chance to bib up and run with my dad. It was the most exciting race I had ever run! The next year, I trained hard and was able to beat everyone and win the prized cowbell ( our families version of a trophy). It's been 12 years since I last ran the race and I can't wait to do it again in support of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.

As if running Falmouth isn’t a challenge enough, I am also committing to raising $2,000 for this inspiring organization.  Autism now affects 1 in every 36 children – it is not partial to race or socioeconomic class. The Flutie Foundation works to help people and families affected by autism to live life to the fullest. Whether it’s ensuring the safety of a 5-year old, nonverbal and autistic child by providing funding for a fence, or providing a GPS SafetyNet tracking bracelet for the autistic child who wanders, the Flutie Foundation addresses critical safety needs occurring right now for people with autism.

Join me on my journey by donating! I will be forever grateful and know you will be one of the reasons I am motivated to cross that finish line!

Description

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 27-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $25 million to schools and organizations that provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people affected by autism.

The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its special programs. The Flutie Foundation’s newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will help create businesses to employ adults with autism.
