My Story…
Hello Friends and Family!
I have been training in sub zero weather to prepare myself to run The Falmouth Road Race for the second year to raise much needed funds, a minimum of $1000, for the Be Lile Brit foundation. The Gengel family created this foundation to honor their daughter who lost her life in the 2010 earthquake that decimated Haiti. Britney was a graduate of my Alma Mater, Wachusett Regional High School.
Britney Gengel was a compassionate and spirited 19-year-old who set out on a journey of hope to Haiti with a dream of making a difference. Tragically, she lost her life in the devastating 2010 earthquake, but not before expressing her heartfelt desire to open an orphanage for the children she had grown to love.
Her last text message that was sent to her mom 3 hours before the earthquake, ignited a powerful mission that led to the creation of Brit's Home in Haiti. Britney's legacy lives on through the lives she continues to touch, inspiring countless others to contribute and carry forward her dream.
