This summer, I’ll be running the Falmouth Road Race for the third time alongside my daughter Sydney.

While running isn’t my favorite thing to do, there’s something powerful about being out on that course, miles of ocean beside you, with an empty mind and an open heart. That feeling keeps bringing me back.

I run in honor of my dear friend Susie and in loving memory of her son, William, who we all loved. After the loss of William, Susie devoted herself to creating The Green House — a home where grieving families can find peace, comfort, and solace.
