My Ronald McDonald House Motivation

Running Together. Keeping Families Together.

Running has always been something my sister and I have shared. Whether we're training, encouraging each other through the tough miles, or crossing the finish line together, it's always been about more than the race.

This year, we're running the Falmouth Road Race for something even more meaningful.

As sisters, we know the comfort and strength that comes from having family by your side. As a mom of three, I see every day the incredible bond my children share with one another, and I can't imagine facing a medical crisis without being able to keep them together.

That's why Ronald McDonald House New England means so much to us.

When a child is seriously ill, the Ronald McDonald House gives families more than a place to stay. It gives parents the chance to stay close to their child, siblings the opportunity to remain together, and families the comfort of facing life's hardest moments side by side.

Every dollar raised helps provide families with a warm, welcoming place to stay—free of charge—so they can focus on what matters most: being together.

Thank you for supporting our journey and helping keep families close.

Description

As the excitement builds for the upcoming Falmouth Road Race I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support of a cause that truly matters – supporting families in need through Ronald McDonald House New England.

With every stride we take, we are not just covering miles, we are helping provide a home away from home. On August 16, 2026 Team Ronald McDonald House New England will hit the pavement to race the historic 7 mile course, while raising critical funds to support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence and Boston.

Each year hundreds of families travel to New England from locations all over the world to give their child access to the best medical care. In doing so, they face enormous hurdles such as navigating the complexities of the health care system, extraordinarily high local housing costs, and excessive emotional and physical stress. At Ronald McDonald House New England, we remove the stress of daily living and support families to enable them to focus on what really matters: their child’s health and healing.

This year Team Ronald McDonald House New England will work together to provide over 1,000 nights of housing, comfort and support for families of critically ill children. Together, we can reduce the stress associated with financial strain so families can focus on the health of their children.

I hope I can count on you to support my run by contributing to this very special program.  Together we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
