My Story

Hello!!

Thank you so much for visiting our Falmouth Road Race fundraising page! We are back for 2026 as a mother-son duo running for the Cape Wellness Collaborative (CWC).

As many of you know, our journey with CWC began last year. Allison was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2025 and underwent a double mastectomy that April. We are so incredibly grateful to share that she remains cancer-free more than a year later!

During her recovery, the Cape Wellness Collaborative was a lifeline. They provided Allison with integrative therapies, including nourishing meals and therapeutic massages, all free of charge. These services helped her bounce back with strength and grace.

We were so moved by the support we received in 2025 that we knew we had to lace up our sneakers and do it again this year.

Every dollar you donate will go directly to CWC in support of their mission: to help residents of Cape Cod and the Islands who are facing cancer feel better through integrative therapies, nourishing meals, and emotional support services. We are honored to represent this amazing organization for a second year and to celebrate Allison’s continued health on the road from Woods Hole to Falmouth Heights.

Thank you for your generosity and for being part of our story!

Description

Cape Wellness Collaborative's (CWC) mission is to help residents of Cape Cod and the Islands who are facing cancer feel better through integrative therapies, nourishing meals, and emotional support services.

Integrative therapies like massage, acupuncture, yoga, and more can significantly ease the physical and emotional side effects of cancer treatment and recovery. Yet most of these therapies are not covered by insurance, making them inaccessible to many when they’re needed most.

CWC bridges that gap. We connect individuals facing cancer with trusted, local practitioners who provide integrative care—and we cover the cost. Our model keeps care close to home, compassionate, and accessible.

Today, we serve approximately 1,100 people each year. Through our Wellness Eats program, we’ve also provided more than 18,000 handcrafted, nourishing meals to clients and caregivers across our community.  We also host monthly support group meetings at our HQ in South Yarmouth.

Our goal is simple and deeply meaningful: to help people feel better—physically, emotionally, and holistically—while navigating cancer.

Thank you to all who have donated so far!
