For 18 years, Special Olympics has shaped my life in ways I never could have imagined. My journey has taken me from Mansfield to Washington, DC, to Denver, and back home to Massachusetts. Through every chapter, Special Olympics has been there.

This year, I am proud to run the Falmouth Road Race in honor of the athletes, coaches, and local programs who come together every week across our state. For the past four years, I have served as a program coordinator and coach for the Milton / Quincy program, where more than 30 athletes train, compete, and grow together.

I am running for every program like ours. Programs that create spaces where people with and without intellectual disabilities can exercise, compete, and connect. Special Olympics has given so much to me, and this race is my way of giving back and ensuring these opportunities continue for athletes across Massachusetts.
