My Story…
Growing up in Massachusetts and spending every summer on the Cape, the Falmouth Road Race has always been something I admired and dreamed of running. The energy in Falmouth on race day is unlike anything else the crowds, the support, and the sense of community are truly palpable. This year, getting to be a part of that atmosphere while representing Boston College makes the experience even more meaningful.
As a sophomore at Boston College, running on behalf of the Campus School allows me to embody the Jesuit value of being men and women for others. Since 1970, the Campus School has educated students ages 3 to 22 with extensive support needs, including complex medical needs. As part of the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, it serves as a private, publicly funded special education day school located right on BC’s main campus. The school brings together educators, therapists, nurses, and specialists to create individualized programs that help each student learn, communicate, and thrive. The environment is built on dignity, joy, and possibility, and the impact it has on students and families is extraordinary.
My goal is to raise $1,500 to support the Campus School’s mission and the incredible students who rely on it. Every amount matters, and I am extremely grateful for the chance to help raise money while running a race that has meant so much to me throughout my life. Thank you so much for your support it truly means more than you know.
