This year I’m doing something really meaningful to me — I’m running the Falmouth Road Race in support of UMass Cancer Center.

I started running in November 2024, and what began as a personal challenge has grown into a passion. Running has taught me how strong we can be when we push past what feels comfortable. Now I want to use that strength for something bigger than myself.

This cause is especially personal to me. Cancer has impacted my own family, including my mom and my grandma. They are both breast cancer survivors and are the epitome of what strength looks like. Watching people you love face something so difficult changes you. It makes you realize how important research, compassionate care, and support systems truly are.

UMass Cancer Center provides life-saving treatment, groundbreaking research, and incredible care for patients and families right here in our community. Supporting them means supporting real people who are fighting every single day.
