My Story ...
Hi!
My name is Emma & I am so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race with NF Northeast this year.
I was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis at 18 months old. Growing up I was very fortunate to have minimal symptoms of NF. Besides the café-au-lait spots scattered across my body
I am very fortunate I am able to live a day to day life. It wasn’t until 2014, my freshman year of high school, that I actually realized the severity of NF. My doctor noticed a slight droop in my right eye which then led to MRI scans that presented a benign glioma by the pituitary gland in my brain. We continued to watch the growth of the tumor until October of 2017, my senior year of high school, when about 50% of the tumor was removed.
I run the Falmouth Road Race each year to be a voice for those living with NF who are unable to run alongside me.
Any donation will go towards NF Northeast to one day find a cure for NF.
I am grateful for everyone’s love and support. Thank you!!
