My Story…
I’m honored to be running the Falmouth Road Race for the second time in support of Empower—a cause that means more to me this year than ever before.
The Falmouth Road Race has long been one of my favorite events. There’s something incredibly special about the energy of the community, the spirit of the runners, and the breathtaking course that brings everyone together each summer. The first time I ran it, I was moved not only by the physical challenge, but by the powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we show up for something bigger than ourselves.
This year, I’m running with a deeper purpose. A dear friend’s husband recently passed away unexpectedly, leaving her to raise four beautiful children—all under the age of 10—without their father. Watching their family face such unimaginable loss has been heartbreaking. No one can replace what they’ve lost, but we can surround them with love, strength, and tangible support during this incredibly difficult time.
That’s why I’m lacing up again for Empower. Through this race, I hope to channel my miles into meaningful impact—helping provide stability, resources, and hope for families navigating profound hardship. Running has always been personal for me, but this year it’s also a promise: to show up, to push forward, and to carry this family with me every step of the way.
The miles will be tough, but they are nothing compared to the road ahead for four young children growing up without their dad. I’m running for them.

Join me in supporting Empower by helping me raise money as I take on the 2026 Falmouth Road Race!
Empower is a nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind children they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on-one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach, “loss is survivable.”
Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.
