This year I will be running as part of a team supporting The Decibels Foundation, in honor of two very special kids — Stella and Ryder.

Stella and Ryder both wear hearing aids, and they navigate the world with resilience and strength that inspire everyone around them. The Decibels Foundation is dedicated to maximizing the potential of children with hearing loss — from infancy through high school — by providing specialized support, education, and resources for them and their families. Their work ensures that kids like Stella and Ryder have every opportunity to thrive.

If you know Stella, you know she is absolutely vibrant — full of personality, humor, and a spark that lights up every room she walks into. And Ryder, he’s an athletic beast — strong and determined, giving his all in everything he does.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the friendship we’ve built with Stella, Ryder, and their amazing mom, Jenn. Every single step of these 7 miles will be for Jenn, for Stella, and for Ryder — and for all the children and families supported by The Decibels Foundation.
