Help Colleen raise money

As many of you already know, Special Olympics holds such a special place in my heart.  After COVID changed everything about the culminating event in our area, a dear friend of mine teamed up with me to bring Special Olympics back to Foxborough Schools. With a lot of hard work and help from our friends and colleagues, we were able to host our first district Special Olympics games in 2023 - shout it to Theresa, best teammate around!! 

Fast forward and we had our fourth annual Unified Game Day event last May and I couldn’t be more proud of our district for embracing the event, our athletes for their smiles and participation, and unified partners for their dedication to build lifelong bonds. SOMA does so much more for the community outside of these annual events, it truly is a culminating representation of continuous inclusive practices that support individuals with and without intellectual disabilities.

This year, I am proud to run for SOMA at my first Falmouth Road Race. Please consider donating! I appreciate all your support!

Photo: I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Patrick Tutwiler, former Massachusetts secretary of education, and now CEO of Walker Therapeutic and Education programs at a SOMA event.  Such a kind and compassionate soul who presented as a keynote speaker at the 2025 Unified Champion Schools Conference last October. I was proud to present during a breakout session about establishing inclusive youth leadership at the elementary level! I learned so much from many other professionals that day ❤️
