My Story…
This year hits a little harder for our family, as Mia is actively listed for a transplant.
In honor of this and biliary atresia, I’m raising awareness and support for an organization that means so much to us, the Tiny Transplant Titans. This August, I’m honored to be running the Falmouth Road Race as part of their team for a second year, carrying their mission with me every step of the way.
Tiny Transplant Titans helps make hospital stays feel a little more like home for families like ours. A recent example, Mia had to go back to the hospital due to a fever. In those moments, everything happens fast. There’s stress, urgency, and a rush to pack, knowing you might not be coming right back home. It’s so easy to forget the small but important things, like a toothbrush, body wash, or even clean socks.
Because of the generosity behind this organization, those essentials are already there waiting. It’s one less thing to worry about during an overwhelming time, and that kind of support makes a real difference.
As I train for this 7 mile race, I’m running for Mia, for families like ours, and for the incredible support systems that show up when it matters most.

Tiny Transplant Titans is a 501(c)(3) that provides support to children who have received life-saving transplants, those waiting for their gift of life, and those needing a transplant in the future. We started this non-profit in honor of our son, Steve, who received a liver transplant at 22 months old. Our son, our experience and our support system motivated us to start Tiny Transplant Titans and we hope to provide support to other families going through the long road of pediatric transplant.
We are honored to be part of the 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race! The funds raised by our dedicated runners will allow us to help over 400 more children and families. Team Tiny Transplant Titans will be running 7 miles on August 16 to not only raise money but also raise awareness for organ donation.
