My Story…
This summer I’ll be running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money for Marisa’s Mission, a charity that provides direct financial support to families battling cancer.
This cause is especially meaningful to me because my mother-in-law worked with Marisa at the Boston Convention Center. After Marisa passed away following her battle with cancer, her family and community created Marisa’s Mission to help other families going through the same challenges.
Cancer treatment can bring enormous emotional and financial stress, and this organization helps relieve some of that burden by assisting with things like travel to treatments, medical costs, and other everyday expenses families face during treatment.
Running the Falmouth Road Race is a challenge I’m excited to take on, but the real goal is to raise money and awareness for families who need support right now.

Marisa's Mission has awarded over $1.6 million in grants, helping with transportation to treatments, home assistance, patient and family support, medication, medical equipment, special family trips, caregiving, oncofertility, and alternative therapies.
