My Story…
Hello! We are Hannah and Robbie Papapietro. Since the end of 2024, we have both been fortunate enough to work with Empower, spanning mentorship, event planning and volunteering. This year we are excited to say we will be running as part of Team Empower!
Both of us have experienced father loss, and understand the challenges that come with it. This makes us even more grateful to be part of an organization that helps children navigate the changes that come with losing a parent. Last year Robbie was fortunate enough to run the race with his mentee, Asher. This year we will be running together to bring further awareness to Empower and their mission. Please consider donating and help Empower continue the incredible work they do for years to come!
Description
Join me in supporting Empower by helping me raise money as I take on the 2026 Falmouth Road Race!
Empower is a nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind children they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on-one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach, “loss is survivable.”
Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.
