I am thrilled to be running for the Jack Trottier Foundation this year, a nonprofit organization that focuses on assisting people with spinal cord injuries (SCI) to live their life as independently as possible. They organize adaptive activities such as water skiing and surfing, provide quality of life grants, and education on SCIs to the public across New England. One of JTF's mottos is 'Win The Day' which is the choice to thrive each day and adapt to any ongoing challenges. If you know me, then you know how much this resonates with me. We all face obstacles in life, but learning to adapt and overcome them is part of the journey. As I return to running postpartum, every run/walk, slow jog, or hike is a win in my book, even if the progress isn't linear.
