Sometimes I can still hear her laugh – as clear and bright as ever.

It was a laugh that could make the whole room feel like they were in on some joke, only you and her understood, even if the room was bursting with people.

If you know that laugh – you’re one of the lucky ones.

It’s been six years since I’ve heard it – but I’ve never forgotten the way it made me feel.

Steph had that way about her.

She was tough but hilarious.

You’d never know how much pain she was carrying – she was always so quick to share that laugh instead.

I’m beyond lucky and grateful to be running the Falmouth Road Race in her honor, again, this year.

Over the last eight years, you’ve helped raise thousands of dollars to research new treatments, provide resources for patients and families and help us get closer to a cure.

Steph would love that.I’ll listen for her laugh while I run that course in August.

I swear I can still hear it every year.
