Since our founding in 1953, Camp Jabberwocky has offered children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to attend a summer camp experience like no other on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Campers take part in activities they could not otherwise experience without their counselor's support and yours. We enrich the lives of our campers and share the joys of the Island in a supportive environment which promotes independence, belonging, friendship and adventure! One of the incredibly unique aspects of Camp Jabberwocky, is that we are almost entirely volunteer run. Over 165 volunteers serve as cooks, nurses, administrative support, program leaders, bus drivers, and our incredible direct-care counselors. Our unique model of 1:1 camper to counselor ratio ensures every camper receives personal attention while safely experiencing a wonderful summer with a community of their peers.
