My Story…
This year, I am honored to once again run the Falmouth Road Race in support of Courageous Parents Network (CPN), an organization whose impact I have witnessed both personally and professionally.
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children's Hospital, I have the privilege of caring for children with serious illnesses and supporting their families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Every day, I see the tremendous value of resources that help families feel less alone, more informed, and better supported. Courageous Parents Network provides exactly that.
Last year, I ran as part of Team CPN in honor of Parent Champion Kelsey and her daughter Stella. Their story, Kelsey's strength, and carrying the memory of her daughter made the experience incredibly meaningful and reminded me why this mission matters so much.
What made last year's race even more special was sharing it with my 13-year-old daughter. Together, we trained for the race and crossed the finish line side by side. Through the experience, she discovered the power of setting a goal, working hard to achieve it, and, most importantly, helping others. Watching her connect to a cause larger than herself was one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.
This year, I'm running again because I know firsthand how important CPN's work is for families navigating unimaginable challenges. The funds raised help ensure that parents have access to compassionate guidance, educational resources, and a community that understands what they are going through.
If you are able, please consider supporting my fundraising efforts. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Courageous Parents Network continue to provide hope, connection, and support to families who need it most.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping make a difference for these extraordinary children and families.
