This year, I’m proud to be running the Falmouth Road Race for the second time in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention—a cause that is deeply personal to me.
I’ve lost two close family members to suicide, and those losses have shaped my passion for mental health awareness and support. In both my personal life and my work as a mental health worker and advocate with the Department of Mental Health, I see every day how important it is to break the stigma and provide resources for those who are struggling.
Running this race is more than just a physical challenge—it’s a way to honor the loved ones I’ve lost and to stand up for those who may still be fighting silently. Every dollar raised helps fund critical research, education, and support programs that save lives.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have experienced a loss. AFSP creates a culture that's smart about mental health through public education and community programs, develops suicide prevention through research and advocacy, and provides support for those affected by suicide.
