My Story…
I discovered distance running as a teenager, and since then it has been a source of clarity, meditation, and most importantly, a way to be in relation to and appreciate the land around me. Running for the Native Land Conservancy gives my miles an even deeper purpose. It is a way to express gratitude for the homelands of the Wampanoag and to devote a different part of myself to a mission that occupies so much of my mind and heart. If any of this rings a bell for you, please consider supporting our team.
Description
The Native Land Conservancy is an Indigenous-led land conservation nonprofit. Our board members come from a variety of Native American tribal communities. Our relationship with the earth is one that is familial and seeks to preserve land for future generations. We accept the honor to protect, restore, and share land. Rescuing land creates shared space for humans and our non-human relatives, preserves millennia of cultural connections, provides a healthy way forward for all.
