My Story…
Falmouth locals James and Finn Benson were just 9 and 6 years old when their mom, Lindsay, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in April of 2022, 16 weeks into her training for her 4th Boston Marathon. 12 days after her diagnosis, and less than 48 hours after crossing the finish line on Boylston Street, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy at Cape Cod Hospital. Four years later, she remains cancer-free, thanks to the outstanding care she receives from the team at the Cuda Center’s High Risk Breast Cancer Program in Hyannis.
Since 2022, James and Finn have raised over $11,700 for MBCC through the Falmouth Road Race’s Numbers for Nonprofits program, and they’re not stopping there. Their goal is simple - to do something to help to prevent other kids from experiencing a breast cancer diagnosis in their family. We hope you’ll consider contributing to their MBCC fundraiser in 2026.
