My Story…

When our oldest son Henry was a toddler, my wife Jill and I received news no parent expects: he was on the autism spectrum. We were overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. The Arc of the South Shore met us right at that moment. Through their First Early Intervention program, they helped us navigate evaluations, therapies, and the decisions that accompany an early diagnosis, providing a path forward when we needed one.

What started as one program for one child opened our eyes to everything else The Arc does. Since 1951, they've been empowering families and individuals of all ages with disabilities across the South Shore of Boston to reach their fullest potential, supporting nearly 4,000 people each year from early intervention through adulthood.

Henry is a teenager now and thriving: a straight-A student who swims and sings in three school choruses. Running Falmouth is my way of saying thank you, and helping make sure the next family who receives similar news has the same place to turn we did.

If you can support the cause, every dollar goes directly to programs that change lives across the South Shore.
