The Falmouth Road Race is one of those bucket-list races, 7 miles of scenic Cape Cod coastline, thousands of runners, and an energy that's hard to put into words. But what makes it truly special for me isn't the finish line. It's why I'm running.

This summer marks my third year running with the Falmouth Service Center, and every year I cross that finish line with more gratitude than the last not just for making it through the miles, but for the community I get to run for.

The Falmouth Service Center has been a lifeline for Upper Cape residents since 1983. They're more than a food pantry, they provide food distribution, financial assistance for housing and utilities, a community closet, home food delivery, and so much more. They show up for their neighbors every single week, no questions asked. The people they serve are everyday people; families, seniors, single parents, folks who hit a rough patch and needed someone in their corner. Falmouth Service Center is that corner.

I run because they can't do it without support from people like us. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making sure no one in Falmouth has to choose between groceries and keeping the lights on.
