When my friend Jen Noonan asked me to join her in running the Falmouth Road Race for The Children's Room, I didn't hesitate.

For more than a decade, Jen has dedicated her career to supporting children, teens, and families through The Children's Room. Their programs provide free grief support after the death of a parent or sibling, creating a safe and welcoming community where young people can connect with others who understand what they are experiencing and realize they are not alone.

In my work at Boston Children's Hospital, I've seen how important it is for families to have support during life's most difficult moments. Grief can feel incredibly isolating, and organizations like The Children's Room provide connection, compassion, and a sense of community when families need it most.

This August, I'll be running the Falmouth Road Race to help ensure that children and families throughout Massachusetts can continue to access these services free of charge.
