My Story…
On August 16th, I’ll be running the Falmouth Road Race in honor of Macy Burgess of Norwell, MA — a sweet, funny, and endlessly creative 10-year-old who passed away on April 9, 2026, after a courageous fight against Diffuse Midline Glioma.
Macy is survived by her mom, Marisa, and her brother, Daniel. She was the kind of kid who lit up a room by making you laugh, and the type who would always go out of her way to be playful and silly with younger kids, including my own.
I’m running in support of Tommy’s Place, a nonprofit in Falmouth, that provides free, week-long dream vacations on Cape Cod for children fighting cancer and their families. In the summer of 2025, Macy and her loved ones were able to spend time there together — relaxing, making memories, and just being a family during the hardest times of their lives. Every dollar raised goes toward giving more children and families those same moments of joy and respite.
Thank you so much for your support 💛
