My Story…
I choose to run the Falmouth Road Race each year to raise funds for Independence House because I care deeply about supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Many of us shy away from this difficult topic, even though we are aware that violence, even against loved ones, is all too common in our world.
The mission of Independence House (which isn’t just one building, but a network of centers and resources across Cape Cod) is “To help all domestic violence and sexual assault victims, survivors and children by creating opportunities for safety and empowerment through crisis intervention.“
Please consider donating to my fundraiser to support the monumental goal of preventing sexual and domestic violence on the Cape and caring for and empowering those who have suffered this trauma. Any amount helps, and I am grateful for your participation and support.
