My Story…
Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race once again this year as part of the Falmouth Service Center Team!
Paraphrasing from our team captain…The FSC isn’t just a regional food pantry! It also assists Falmouth residents through its financial assistance program. Imagine being in need and finding it is possible to apply for assistance with critical bills such as rent, mortgage, utilities and car/insurance payments. Housing and transportation are two major issues on the Cape. A main goal of the Falmouth Service Center is ensuring people have a safe place to live and that they can get to work. There is vetting process for every request which allows FCS to pay vendors (banks, utilities etc.) directly. Between January and May of this year they have assisted 121 families ($106,546 in assistance). During the whole of 2025 they provided $300,000 in financial assistance for Falmouth residents in need.
All of this is such a sobering thought as 10,000 of us toe the line to have the time of our life running the 7 miles from Woods Hole to Falmouth heights! Everywhere, and certainly right along this famed route people are struggling. Raising funds for the Falmouth Service Center brings real meaning to my run. Kindly consider donating to my fundraising effort so we can all help the people of Falmouth! Thank-you!!
