My Story…

Running the Falmouth Road Race for Hope

On August 16, I’ll be running the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race to support Learn to Cope, a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, resources, and hope to families and friends affected by substance use disorder. Founded in 2004, Learn to Cope has grown into a nationally recognized peer-support network serving thousands of families who are navigating the challenges of addiction and recovery.

Like many families, I have seen how substance use disorder impacts not only the individual struggling, but also the parents, siblings, spouses, children, and friends who love them. The journey can be filled with uncertainty, fear, and isolation. Organizations like Learn to Cope remind families that they are not alone and that there is always hope. Through meetings, education, peer support, and overdose prevention programs, they help families find strength, connection, and healing.
Training for this race is a personal challenge, but it is small compared to the challenges many families face every day. Every mile I run represents the resilience of families who continue to show up for their loved ones and the hope that recovery is possible.

I am asking for your support as I take on this race. Your donation will help Learn to Cope continue providing free support services, educational programs, and resources to families who need them most. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps make a difference.

Thank you for supporting my journey and, more importantly, for supporting families affected by substance use disorder. Together, we can help ensure that no family has to face this struggle alone.

Please consider making a donation and sharing this page with others. Every step, every mile, and every dollar brings hope. ❤️🏃🏻‍♀️
