Fundraising for IBD Cures!

Living with Ulcerative Colitis has been part of my life since I was 16. I’ve had my share of ups and downs, but this past fall my health took a serious turn. After becoming very sick, I spent a week in the hospital and came dangerously close to losing my colon.

Thankfully, treatment with Remicade has helped stabilize my symptoms and given me a second chance at feeling like myself again.

I really thought that I had hung up my running shoes for good, but I left the hospital with a new perspective and lots of gratitude.

So here I go again! Raising money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation because now more than ever I feel compelled to give back.

Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are chronic inflammatory bowel diseases that affect millions of people, causing painful inflammation in the digestive tract and often disrupting daily life in ways many people don’t see. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation funds critical research, supports patients and families, and works toward better treatments, and ultimately cures. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a treatment that’s helping me heal, but I know so many others are still fighting to find relief.

Running the Falmouth Road Race again is more than a race for me, it’s a celebration of resilience, gratitude, and hope. Thank you for supporting me and this mission!
