Help Sandra raise money

This summer, I am honored to run the Falmouth Road Race as a proud member of Team End ALZ. I am running to raise funds for a cause that is deeply woven into both my professional life and my personal heart.

For my entire career, I have worked as a care manager, supporting older adults and their families through some of life’s most difficult transitions. More often than not, my clients have lived with a form of dementia. I have had the privilege of helping families navigate the complexities, the heartbreak, and the profound moments of love that come with that journey. I know firsthand the toll this disease takes.

But Alzheimer's and dementia don't just exist in my professional world; they have also touched my own family. My mom is currently living with dementia. Because I live across the country, I cannot be there for the day-to-day realities of her care. Instead, my dad and my siblings have stepped up to be her primary caregivers. I am constantly in awe of their strength, their patience, and the unconditional support they give her every single day.

I am lacing up my sneakers for my mom. I am running to honor my dad and my siblings, as my way of supporting them from afar. And I am running for the countless clients and families I have had the honor of working with over the years.
