My RMH Motivation

In 2018, I traveled to Minneapolis for a life-changing surgery, and what should have been a time of healing quickly became overwhelming for my family.

We were incredibly fortunate to stay at the Upper Midwest Ronald McDonald House Charities. It gave us so much more than a place to stay. It gave us comfort, stability, and a true sense of home when we needed it most. Families can stay free of cost, which is an incredible relief during an already difficult and emotional time. After long days at the hospital, we were always welcomed back with a warm meal and a quiet place to rest, and my siblings were cared for with kindness, activities, and support during their visits.

I continued staying there during outpatient treatments and have returned many times since. Having a familiar, comforting place to come back to has meant everything to me and my family.

Today, giving back feels deeply personal. My family and I are grateful to support both our local New England RMH locations and our special place in Minneapolis. Running the Falmouth Road Race is my way of giving back to a place that gave us so much love and support when we needed it most. Every donation helps provide comfort, care, and hope to families going through their hardest days. 💛

Description

As the excitement builds for the upcoming Falmouth Road Race I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support of a cause that truly matters – supporting families in need through Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England.

With every stride we take, we are not just covering miles, we are helping provide a home away from home. On August 16, 2026 Team RMHCNE will hit the pavement to race the historic 7 mile course, while raising critical funds to support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence and the Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor.

Each year hundreds of families travel to New England from locations all over the world to give their child access to the best medical care. In doing so, they face enormous hurdles such as navigating the complexities of the health care system, extraordinarily high local housing costs, and excessive emotional and physical stress. At the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England, we remove the stress of daily living and support families to enable them to focus on what really matters: their child’s health and healing.

This year Team RMHCNE will work together to provide over 1,000 nights of housing, comfort and support for families of critically ill children. Together, we can reduce the stress associated with financial strain so families can focus on the health of their children.

I hope I can count on you to support my run by contributing to this very special program.  Together we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
